About Course
This course is centered on the sciences of Hadith. There are two fundamental sources of Islam: the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Book of Allah is preserved in the form of the Mus’haf (Quran), while the Sunnah, which includes the sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet (PBUH), is recorded in the books of Hadith. Hadith refers to the attribution of the Sunnah to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). To verify the authenticity of this attribution, the discipline of Usul al-Hadith (Principles of Hadith) was developed, aiming to establish the criteria for distinguishing authentic Hadith from weak and fabricated ones. This course not only covers the types of accepted and rejected Hadiths but also analyzes modern ideologies and perspectives regarding the denial or devaluation of Hadith.
